What time/day do all y’all plan on arriving since the festival campgrounds open up Thursday morning. My group is leaving Dallas around noon and hoping to get to Baytown around 5pm.
Ubbi camping check in was a shit show because of the rain so hoping this will go smoother.

2021.10.22 16:39 Tilly828282 Carter’s ending
On my millionth rewatch, and every time it kills me how things turn out for Carter.
He’s such a good man who was never defined by his family money. His story arc from the somewhat hapless student, through addiction to the brave doctor and philanthropist was so interesting, he was such a loveable character.
It makes me so sad every time I watch the finale that he didn’t have a happy ending or a happy life with Kem. They had such a good chemistry to begin, and yet it seems like he ended up with a very frosty marriage, and ultimately lonely. I wish we could have seen him back in Chicago in a happy marriage, even if it was unconventional.
His comments about “what happens in Darfur”, in those S12 episodes make me wonder did the good times in their marriage even last a year, because pretty quickly they are living apart. John Carter deserved better!

2021.10.22 16:39 internetjay Build a complex oscillator out of several modules, or pick up a complex oscillator?
Hi all, beginner here, I'm building my first rack right now (6U 104hp) and looking for a solid "main" voice for minimal synth stuff. I'm convinced that I want the functionality of a complex oscillator because modifying waves with waves is what it's all about, but wow are there a lot of options for how to get there! I've read through every thread on complex oscs from the past few years and I feel like my head's only spinning more now than when I started.
For the standalones, my list is the Verbos Complex Oscillator, Instruo Cs-L, Frap Tools Brenso, Hexinverter Mindphaser, XAOC Odessa, North Coast Middle Path, Make Noise DPO, Endorphin.Es Furthrrr and the upcoming Cosmotronic Vortex (ranked roughly in order of my interest based on sound demos, with the Vortex higher up).
For the build-your-own option, I've got the classic Rubicon2/Dixie2+/Bifold combo andddddddddddd after that I'm kinda lost. I understand that you need a main VCO, a modulating VCO and some sort of modulation between the two -- FM, TZFM, AM, PWM, ring mod, etc. -- and I see people mentioning modules like the Instruo Ts-L, Joranalogue Generate 3, Endorphin.Es Godspeed, etc. when talking about it (e.g. single VCOs with routing for common "complex" features).
My understanding is that the ready-to-go nature of the standalone complex oscillator can help workflow a lot, save HP, and save money vs. sourcing all functionality from separate modules; but that going separate means more options, ultimately more features and a more custom sound.
Does anyone have experience to share re: the build-your-own route? Found any combos that work particularly well for you? Decide against it and go for a dedicated complex osc after all? I'm less looking for complex osc comparisons, because we already have some good posts for that (Verbos for warm tone, DPO for the aggressive character, etc), and more looking for advice about approach.
Hope that makes sense. Thanks for any replies!

2021.10.22 16:39 guywithsweatshirt Next Steps (outlet)
A year or so ago the transformer on our road blew. I personally witnessed a giant spark shoot from our ceiling fan when it happened. We realized a couple months later that 2 of our seldom used outlets were no longer working. I replaced one with no issues. While double checking the other outlet to make sure I turned the right breaker off with the non-contact voltage tester, I realized there was no power whatsoever to the outlet. Pulled it out and tested the actual wire and still noting. Plus, I am not sure if it is on the same line as the first one I replace, though they are located pretty close. What should I do now? Am I missing something obvious?

I’m down 70 percent since the new guy got the keys to the government. No matter how much I buy down fundamentals don’t matter. Looks like there is steady unlimited selling morning day and night 10 months straight. More shares obviously than exist. Should I just sell everything and load up on shorts on everything? 2021.10.22 16:39 Standard-Fish1628 Quick question about jobs and what not.
So as of right now I've only built 5 guitars and 3 were made at a school I attended. I have yet to sell one as I don't want to let go of them becuase I pretty much made them for myself haha. I worked as a tech at a local music store down the road from my house for about a year and a half or so, but with covid they were closed down. I am now struggling even with experience of over 2 years to find anything solid. I know there weren't many jobs for this before covid but now I feel like its even harder to get a job as a tech or anything related. So this brings me to my question. Should I just start advertising for my self for guitar building/repair with flyers social media and the like and dedicate my self 100% to that everyday, or should I just get a job I don't want to do and just suck it up and do repairs on the side? Sorry if this is alot but I've just been contemplating this alot lately. Thanks in advanced!

2021.10.22 16:39 jacobscott854 Do-It-Yourself Accounting Model?
Now that migration to the cloud is inevitable, proactive CPAs are finding ways to take advantage of the cloud to revamp their practices, and are evaluating the changes to their core services - tax, accounting, and payroll - made possible by the cloud. In this article, we’ll focus on how cloud technology has enabled an important breakthrough in client accounting.
The development of DIY (Do-It-Yourself) accounting software, led by Intuit, fundamentally changed accounting, and today, the DIY model is the norm for accounting software. Almost all accounting systems, whether desktop or cloud-based, are created primarily for small businesses, and are sold directly to them. DIY accounting systems undoubtedly offered considerable advantages compared to the manual accounting they replaced, but they have also created many challenges for accountants.
DIY systems have taken control of accounting away from accountants, and the bookkeeping errors clients make while using DIY software products have become a major source of wasted time and effort for accountants. Many accountants also feel that DIY accounting systems reduce their standing and relevance in their clients’ minds. While most cloud solutions are based on DIY model, a new DDIY model has emerged that harnesses the cloud to give control of accounting back to accountants, lets accountants overcome the challenges they currently face, and makes accounting more profitable and rewarding.
The cloud-based DDIY accounting system takes the opposite approach to the DIY model. While DIY software was created for small businesses and is sold directly to them, DDIY software is a professional system that is sold exclusively to accountants. It lets accountants work collaboratively with their clients while they remain in full control. An important advantage of the DDIY system is that accountants can give their clients as much or as little involvement that’s right for each client. Accountants can easily undertake all accounting functions for the clients who prefer not to do any accounting work. read more
